BRIARCLIFF CAVALIERS

I have loved Cavalier King Charles Spaniels all of my life, even before I knew what they were.  As a small child I fell in love with Lady from Lady And The Tramp the first time I saw her.  I thought she was the most beautiful dog I had ever seen.  As the years passed and I began to notice and appreciate art, I was taken by the beauty of the Cavaliers in the European Old Masters' paintings.  At that point I had only seen Cavaliers as art, first as a Disney cartoon character and later as subjects in paintings.  I did not know that they truly existed.  For many years I would look at the paintings and think how wonderful if such a dog existed.  Then it happened!  I saw a Cavalier in person.  I was thrilled to know that they were real.  For the next several years I could think of nothing more than some day having my own Cavalier King Charles Spaniel. 

At long last I acquired my first two Cavaliers.  As time has passed I have continued to study everything I can find concerning ethical, honest, and correct breeding.  I have read books, taken courses, and become active in The Cavailer King Charles Spaniel Club of Greater Atlanta.  I have been able to surround myself with many breeders and fellow Cavalier lovers who have been the source of a wealth of knowledge.

As a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel breeder I am committed to producing strong healthy dogs with good temperaments, always keeping breed standard as my goal.  Their health is of utmost importance to me.  All of my dogs are certified in Patellar Luxation and Congenital Cardiac by the Orthopedic Foundation for Animals.  They are also given a thorough eye exam by a board certified veterinary cardiologists and have eye certification with Canine Eye Registration Foundation.  All three of these tests are given regularly and must be passed to be bred.

My dogs live in the house with me.  They are my children.  My dogs are living a blessed life with the best possible food, best possible veterinary care, exercise, fun, and more than a full serving of love.  I am having the time of my life with my Cavaliers.  Who would ever have guessed that they would bring me such a level of pure joy?  My life is filled with constant pleasure.  It is like living with Lady; she does exist and I found her.
